I've decided to replace the lamp next to my bed with something smaller and more bedroom-friendly. I found this cool article about Halloween decorations in one of the newest blogs that I follow, Urban Comfort, written by Suzonne Stirling. Not only was the Trick or Treat sign put on my to do list, but I was inspired by the temporary lampshade cover! Such a cool idea!
Now, I love Halloween. Frankly its one of my favorite holidays, but even I am not willing to decorate my bedside table with a Halloween style lamp. However, it did inspire me to think about what other images I might trace or print on to vellum to use instead.
I think I'm going to go with a grove of aspens or something else to harken back to the mountains of Colorado. I found the perfect bedside table lamp at Goodwill yesterday and after a bit of a clean and some quick fashioning, it will be perfect!

The Ambrosia Sweater -- ah heaven
I've switched gears for a few days because I finally found the yarn I'm going to use and the pattern for the Ambrosia Sweater (pattern by Katya Frankel) from the Summer 2010 edition of Interweave Knits. I'm so excited to be trying a new sweater pattern.
I'm using Yalley Yarn Goshen in Winter, a beautiful soft light gray yarn made from cotton, modal, and some silk. Here is a picture of what it will look like:
Oooo! I'm about a 10th of the way through. Very excited!
